Retract Slide with Full Airbag

Q. I have a 2007 Neptune PDD (two slide outs). The owner's manual says to always put air in your airbags before extending or bringing in slideouts. Several owners have told me not to go through the process of starting the engine to go through the air pressure process. Of course retracting the levelers is always my first step when leaving. Will putting in the air reduce any possibility of chassis/slideout mis-match? Would you always put air in the air bag suspension before using slideouts?

A. Yes always put air back in the bags before bringing the slides back in the in position. The slide outs are designed to run best when at travel level which means all aired up and ready to drive. The main reason for this is, that is how they were set up at the factory and where they were adjusted to run best.
