Fluctuating Air-Bag Pressure

Q. When I am driving down the road and my air pressure keeps going up and down, is that a problem?

A. In most cases, this is not an issue. The air-bag system is set up to release air as the bags are moving. This way there is no way to over-inflate the bags. However, the engine will continue to supply air back in the bags that is being removed; so this normal. If you stop and can hear air coming out of the unit and your needle is dropping fast, then you do have an air leak that you need to have checked.
